Simple 5 Step Morning Skincare Routine

Here is a look at my simple morning skincare routine. I like to keep my routines easy so that I’m more likely to stick to them.

Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Daily CleanerI like this cleanser, for the most part. I don’t have any huge bond with it, but it gets the job done! I like that it has very few ingredients and that it’s gentle on my skin. It’s very good at breaking down makeup and oils and doesn’t leave me feeling too dry afterward. I am a fan of the CeraVe Foaming Cleanser as well, they work quite similarly, but the CeraVe foams up a little better and does not have a fragrance which I like very much, while the Neutrogena does. I like foaming cleansers that are more affordable because I use them so often. Cetaphil is a great affordable brand as well.

Mario Badescu Rose Water Facial Spray – This is something that I enjoy using often and it’s a staple in my routine. The Mario Badescu Rosewater Facial Spray is so lovely and the benefits of rose water are wonderful.

Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Eye Cream – I have been enjoying this eye cream during the daytime and it feels nice and creamy on the skin. It can be hard to blend in and does take some time to absorb into my skin. With eye creams, I have not found one that I am totally loyal to yet, so the search continues.

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer – As I’ve mentioned before in my post about my favorite skincare, this is my favorite moisturizer. It is just the right consistency for daily wear and it comes in a huge bottle! It has no smell and is so moisturizing.

Biore Aqua Rich Watery Essence Sunscreen – This is something that I’ve discovered this year and haven’t looked back. Sunscreen is essential. For everyone. But as a pale person, I cannot live without it. And facial sunscreen used to be the bane of my routine; I just couldn’t find one that I was okay with wearing daily. They’re usually thick, smell awful, don’t absorb, leave a garish white cast. Basically, I hated using them. Until I found this. It’s everything I thought facial sunscreen couldn’t be; blendable, light, no fragrance. It’s an Asian skincare product, but from a brand that I’m familiar with. The west just hasn’t picked up a lot of the revolutionary skin care products like the east has. Definitely give this a try.

What does your morning skincare routine look like? Do you have products that you can’t live without?
