My Top 5 Face Masks

Here’s a round up of my five go-to face masks for when my skin is feeling dull or congested.

Starting out with Glossier Mask Duo, I have the Mega Greens Galaxy Pack and the Moisturizing Moon Mask. Mega greens is clay based for skin purification and also has natural oils like avocado, as well as some super-fruit antioxidants like acai. It’s packed with goodness! After you apply it, I like that it doesn’t dry into a super tight, crumbly mask. It dries but still retains moisture so your skin doesn’t feel stripped and uncomfortable, but detoxified and polished.

After I rinse off Mega Greens, I will go in with the Moon Mask. This is the ultra-hydrating counterpart in the duo and leaves my skin feeling soothed and radiant. It claims oxygenating properties and uses natural, plant-derived emollients like shea butter and squalene. It also sports hyaluronic acid which plumps up your skin and increases elasticity. Y’all need to pick these two up!

Another hydrating mask that I love is the Laneige Water Sleeping Pack. This one is designed to be applied before bed and rinsed off in the morning, bestowing you with a well-rested and refreshed appearance. I like to use this when I need extra pampering after a long day. It is infused with apricot and evening primrose and uses a hydro ionized mineral water (alkaline water), which apparently is better for you! They claim that one is sold every twelve seconds!

The Josie Maran Whipped Mud Mask is a mask that detoxifies and hydrates all in one. Before you apply, your skin must be damp; I like to do this by spritzing my face with rose water. I then slather the mask on and let it get to work. This, of course, has 100% argan oil as well as Moroccan clay. The combination of these two purifies and decongests my skin while leaving it feeling supple and plump after I rinse it off. This mask is a must try!

The last on this list is the Fresh Umbrian Clay Mask. This is a heavy duty mask that claims to shrink pores and purify the skin. It can be used a few different ways; as a daily deep cleanser, a mask, and a spot treatment for blemishes. A clay from the hills of Nocera Umbra, Italy, it is basically volcanic ash or Fullers Earth. It also has sandalwood oil, as well as lavender water and chamomile flower to help soothe and calm the skin. Brb as I go slather this all over my face!
